CLARKESVILLE-Since 2006, Jeff Gooch of Cleveland Tool and Die has been and continues to be an active and vital member of the North Georgia Technical College Board of Directors.
"Jeff was our first chairman to serve two consecutive years," said President Steve Dougherty in the regular September Board meeting. "He has been a fine leader, and we greatly appreciate his service."
The Chairman position rotated each year until 2007 when the Board voted to go to a two year term to align with the Technical College System of Georgia. In 2008, Gooch was elected Chairman to NGTC's Board.
Dr. Jim Wade, who was elected Chairman at the end of Gooch's term, presented him with an engraved plaque for dedicated service as Chairman of the Local board of Directors from July 1, 2008 to June 31, 2010. "We appreciate everything you have done for us," he said.
Gooch will continue to serve on NGTC's Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the college. Regular meetings are held the second Wednesday of every
