GPD recognized for work within Hispanic community

ATLANTA - The Gainesville Police Department was recognized recently by the U.S. Christian Chaplain Association for its work within the Hispanic community in Gainesville.

The department was cited for its community service and bridging cultural gaps between the police department and the Hispanic community it serves. There were pastors from across the country who spoke highly of the Gainesville Police Department and its work.

The recognition came at the association's annual meeting which was held in Atlanta.
