Apple Drop canceled

CORNELIA - Cornelia's 6th Annual Apple Drop, scheduled New Year's Eve, has been canceled.

Andrea Harper, Better Hometown Manager in Cornelia, said the festivities have been canceled this year "due to an increase chance of inclement weather."

It is was one of several New Year's Eve events scheduled in northeast Georgia Thursday night. All of the others are apparently still on. (See separate story.)
