LULA - The City of Lula reports a 3,600-gallon sewage spill.
It follows last week's heavy rains and occurred at the McLeod Street Pump Station which has been plagued by spills in recent months. That facility is scheduled to be replaced. Work on the replacement is already under construction.
City Manager Dennis Bergin said last week's rains resulted in "overloading the transmission lines and current pump capacity."
