WATKINSVILLE - Jackson County could not muster much offense against an inspired Oconee County defense in a 20-0 loss to the Warriors Friday night.
Quarterback Jalen banks was an efficient 21-of-32 yards for the game but had just 117 yards as the Panthers could not connect on many downfield passes.
Zane Cochran had eight catches for 52 yards and piled 141 all-purpose yards for jackson County.
The Panthers trailed just 10-0 at halftime and had two good scoring chances but banks waspicked off twice to end potential scoring drives.
Jackson County closes out the season next week in Toccoa against Stephens County.
