COMMERCE -- The Lakeview Academy baseball team kept its strong start to the Region 8-A season going on Tuesday with a 5-2 win at Commerce.
The Lions' Ralston Cash picked up the win on the mound, striking out six in a complete game performance.
At the plate, Lakeview (7-5, 5-1 Region 8-A) used a 2-for-3 performance -- including a home run and and three runs scored -- from Matt Reynolds to help spark the win.
Angus Ferguson also had a big day for the Lions, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. Jacob Whitenton was 1-for-3 with an RBI and Chris Askounis was 1-for-2 with two RBIs for Lakeview.
Lakeview travels to Social Circle at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
