A little more than half-a-dozen games are scheduled for Thursday, with the marquee matchup being a non-region title between Class 6A No. 7 Buford and Class 5A No. 3 Loganville in Loganville.
The two teams currently are undefeated in their respective regions and looking to stay prepared for the upcoming playoffs.
Class 3A third-ranked North Hall (15-5, 11-2 Region 6-3A) and No. 4 Pickens (18-4, 10-3 Region 6-3A) both have key region games as they battle for first place. The Trojans travel to Johnson (2-20, 0-13 Region 6-3A) while the Dragons play host to Dawson County (13-9, 8-5 Region 6-3A).
Also in Region 6-3A, Lumpkin County (11-10, 5-8 Region 6-3A) plays host to White County (9-12, 4-9 Region 6-3A) as both teams are fighting to stay in the playoff race. Chestatee (6-16, 5-8 Region 6-3A) heads to GAC (12-7, 9-4 Region 6-3A) also looking to stay in the playoff race.
Habersham Central in region 8-5A has climbed to third in the standings. The Raiders (12-9, 4-4 Region 8-5A) travel to Jackson County (10-10, 3-5 Region 8-5A) trying to close the gap with second place Winder-Barrow.
