GINESVILLE - Chestatee got three first half goals and the defense did the rest as the Lady War Eagles shut out White County 3-0 in Region 7-AAA girls soccer action Tuesday night.
With the win Chestatee evened its record at 6-6 overall and improved to 3-1 in region play.
The defense, led by Victoria Callahan, Victoria Cheshire, Charlotte Hill, and Kasey Smith dominated keeping the Lady Warriors to four shots on goal, and handing Sarah Brothers her 4th shutout for the season.
Chestatee got going quickly as Lindsey Sapp got the first goal in the first two minutes of the game off a cross from Megan Fligg. Six minutes later Fligg got her second assist setting up Morgan Dooley for the second goal. Abi Mills made it 3-0 with just under minutes left in the first half booting in a loose ball inside the goal area.
Chestatee outshot White County (3-8, 2-6) 12-3 for the game.
