GAINESVILLE -- David Pruett poured in 29 points and the Lakeview Academy boys basketball team held off a fourth quarter rally to beat Athens Christian 79-71 Tuesday night at home.
The Lions (16-8) won for the 10th time in 11 games and will travel to Commerce Friday night in their regular season finale.
Lakeview led 19-18 after the first quarter but used a 27-16 second quarter to open up a 46-34 halftime lead. Athens Christian cut the lead to 61-50 by the end of the third quarter and got to within seven points late in the game before lakeview put the game away.
Haughton Carswell added 14 points for Lakeview.
Joey Moon had 20 points to lead Athens Christian.
