No day off for Hall election workers Friday

GAINESVILLE - Some Hall County voters may feel too old to go trick-or-treating, but they can still step out this Halloween to cast a ballot.

While other county offices will close Friday, the Hall County Elections Office will remain open for the final day of advance voting and to continue to prepare for next Tuesday's elections.

County officials said the elections office and poll workers are still scheduled to work, as well as public safety, landfill and some public works personnel.

All other county offices are closed following the county commission's implementation of county-wide unpaid furlough days to compensate for revenue shortfalls in the struggling economy.
