Rowlett pitches Knights past East Hall

OAKWOOD - Will Rowlett struck out 10 in a complete-game four hitter to lead johnson over East Hall 5-4 Friday in Region 7-AAA baseball.

The Knights (3-2, 1-1 in region) trailed 2-0 after East Hall's Zeb Miller belted a two-run home run in the top of the first inning but answer with four runs in the first two innings to take control of the game.

Johnson added a run in the fourth for a 5-1 lead but East Hall scored two in the sixth to get within one run.

Rowlett then closed out the win in the seventh.

Jay Green had a hit and two RBI to lead Johnson at the plate. Bobby Wirsing had two hits.

Rowlett, David Jones, Brandon Head, Michael Tucker, and Chase Totty all had one hit apiece.

It was the third straight loss for East Hall (4-4, 0-2) after a 4-1 start.
