SAVANNAH - Lanier Aquatics made a pretty big wave at last weekend's 14 and under Swimming State Championships.
The highlight for the local team was Conor Monaghan's first place finish in the 200-Fly.
Conor did well enough to qualify for sectionals in the 100-Fly, 200-Fly and the 200-Free. He will join his teammates Ben Gunn, Shane Hall, Ed Smith and Sara Schwanke for sectionals this March at Georgia Tech.
The other participants from Lanier Aquatics for the 14 and under State Championships were: Trace Austin, Skyler Duncan, Marguerite Mashburn, Colin Monaghan, Spencer Skelton and Madison Taylor.
