ATM scam surfaces

LAWRENCEVILE - An ATM scam has surfaced in North Gwinnett and police fear it may be occurring elsewhere.

Gwinnett County Police are looking for four men caught on tape placing skimmers on two Washington Mutual ATMs - one in Norcross and one in Lawrenceville.

These are devices that are used to capture sensitive information when the automatic tellers are used.

Corporal Illana Spellman says if you have used any ATM in the past two months, you should to carefully review your bank statement and report any unauthorized charges to your local police.
