Owings scheduled to pitch Monday

PHOENIX - Arizona plans to use a four-man rotation during the National League Championship Series against Colorado which begins Thursday night.

That puts Gainesville's Micah Owings in line to pitch Monday night's fourth game of the best four-out-of-seven series.

Owings, who has not pitched since September 27, had been scheduled to pitch the fourth game of the division series with Philadelphia Sunday night but the Diamondbacks wrapped the series up Saturday night.

According to the D'backs Web site, Owings pitched Tuesday with Arizona's instructional league team in Tucson to try to stay sharp.
