GAINESVILLE - The changing face of a north Gainesville street may soon change some more... with the rezoning of a piece of land now zoned "residential."
The Gainesville Planning and Appeals Board will be asked next month to rezone about an acre of land across from the Oak Tree Drive intersection.
A hair salon and "future retail development" are proposed for the site where a house and detached garage now sit.
It's along a stretch of Riverside Dr. that is surrounded by an apartment complex, law office, restaurants and retail outlets.
The planned board meets Feb. 13.
