The Gainesville Planning and Appeals Board will be asked next month to rezone about an acre of land across from the Oak Tree Drive intersection.
A hair salon and "future retail development" are proposed for the site where a house and detached garage now sit.
It's along a stretch of Riverside Dr. that is surrounded by an apartment complex, law office, restaurants and retail outlets.
The planned board meets Feb. 13.
