Blue Sky Concerts returning

GAINESVILLE - The Blue Sky Concerts are returning to downtown Gainesville next month.<br> <br> The concerts this Spring take place each Wednesday in May from Noon to 1:00, sponsored by WDUN/Majic 102.9 and SunTrust Bank. <br> <br> Adults and children of all ages can purchase "brown bag" lunches from the 20 restaurants in downtown Gainesville or bring food from home and "picnic" on the square while enjoying the sunshine and sounds.<br> <br> On Wednesday, May 3, the series will kick-off with country music singer Kevin Carson; May 10 will feature Brian Ulrich&#39;s jazz and pop tunes; May 17 will feature the duo of Rick and Norm who will be a part of the annual Blue Sky and Apple Pie event sponsored by the Gainesville Hall Convention & Visitors Bureau in observance of Tourism Week; and May 24, the Celtic sounds of Danny Ray Cole will be featured; and May 31 will conclude the Spring concerts with Jazztronic.<br> <br> Each concert will be broadcast live on TV Channel 18, the Government Channel and will be rebroadcast during the following week.
