By from staff reports
BUFORD - Gwinnett Police investigators have identified the bodies of 26-year-old Justin Peacock and 29-year-old Angel Welch as the pair involved in an apparent murder-suicide Friday in the Buford area.

According to Corporal Darren Moloney,at about 7:45 p.m. Friday, police found the man and woman shot to death in a small SUV at the residence.

The couple's six-year-old son saw the shootings then ran to a neighbor's house, who called 911.

Moloney says they are not sure who was the shooter and who was the victim. He adds the woman was found outside the SUV and apparently fell out of the driver's side, while the man was found still in the front passenger seat.

It is believed the two were a couple, but were not married. Moloney says they think there is a 14-year-old girl from a previous relationship. She was not present during the shootings.

The children are in the custody of Welch's family. No autopsy information is available, and the primary shooter has not been identified. Gwinnett Police are actively investigating the incident.
