Cooperation emphasized by two school systems

GAINESVILLE - Sharing talents and resources by the two school systems in Hall County was emphasized in presentations made to the Greater Hall Chamberof Commerce Board of Directors Thursday.

Shirley Whitaker, special assistant to Gainesville superintendent Steve Ballowe, and county Superintendent Dennis Fordham and Deputy Superintendent Will Schofield addressed the board's monthly meeting.

Schofield said officials with the two systems have already been meeting and talking about areas of mutual concern.

Each, he said, has expertise that the other could use.

Whitaker noted that some of that cooperation was evident at the meeting - where the city system was sharing a laptop computer with Schofield and Fordham which they were using as part of their presentation.
