Gainesville church has new pastor

GAINESVILLE - A Pennsylvania minister has accepted a call to become senior pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville.

Dr. David McDonald of First Presbyterian in Bakerstown, Pennsylvania, will replace Dr. Bill Waterstradt, who resigned two years ago to move to a church in Spartanburg, S.C.

Dr. McDonald is expected preach his first sermon in his new capacity September 11.
