New Gainesville church openly welcomes gays, lesbians

GAINESVILLE - A church has formed in Gainesville which offers a "special ministry" for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

According to the church's Web site, its mission of "to offer the unconditional love of Jesus Christ to
all who are seeking it."

Christ First International Christian Community Church is located on Oak Street.

The church holds two services weekly on Sundays and Wednesdays, as well as monthly meetings for PFLAG, or Parents Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.
