Wisconsin's Randle El charged with misdemeanor battery

MADISON, Wis. (AP) Wisconsin receiver Marcus Randle El was charged today with misdemeanor battery after police said he hit a former teammate in the face with a cell phone during an argument at a bar.<br> <br> He also was charged with a misdemeanor bail violation. He pleaded guilty in June to disorderly conduct for shoving his girlfriend.<br> <br> The university initially suspended Randle El after the bar fight but modified the discipline. He now is practicing with the team in Orlando, Florida, for the Capital One Bowl on January second against Auburn.<br> <br> The 19-year-old Randle El, who has one reception for 29 yards and a touchdown this the season, is the brother of Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antwaan Randle El.<br> <br> (Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press.
