Gardner Webb 31, Savannah State 21

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) Devin Campbell threw for 124 yards and accounted for three scores to lead Gardner Webb to a 31-21 win over Savannah State on Saturday.<br> <br> The Tigers (0-10) tried to rally in the fourth quarter when Clyde Tullis caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Garrett Williams, cutting the lead to 24-21.<br> <br> But the Bulldogs (5-5) responded with on a 7-yard touchdown run by Campbell, who also threw 3 and 13-yard scoring passes to Duvaughn Flagler.<br> <br> Campbell, who completed 11-of-18 passes, also had one interception.<br> <br> Chadrick Cone led Savannah State with 143 yards rushing and a touchdown. Khalil Hasan caught nine passes for 114 yards.<br> <br> In the loss, Savannah State outgained Gardner Webb 416-318 in total yards and had more first downs 24-19.<br> <br> (Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press.
