GAINESVILLE - A new year means its time of local governmental bodies in Gainesville and Hall County to reorganize themselves - and at least two will do so the first week of 2005.
Election of a chairman and vice-chairman is on the agenda for Monday's Hall County School Board work session, as well as the setting of the time and place for the new year's regular meetings. Also on the agenda: the calendar for the 2005-2006 school year and the Chicopee school redistricting hearings when begin later in the week.
The agenda for the Gainesville City Council's first meeting of the new year Tuesday contains ten organizational topics, including election of a mayor pro-tem and yearly appointments that include city manager, city attorney and city deputy solicitor.
