GAINESVILLE - Our string of unseasonably warm days and nights is apparently about to end.
Temperatures this weekend are expected to plunge to the freezing mark for the first time since December 29 - and lows will be around freezing well into next week. Highs will struggle to get out of the 40s.
Lows so far this year have been running about 15 degrees above average in Gainesville - and high temperatures have been running around 17 degrees above normal.
