ATLANTA - Simon Conn scored 19 points and Tim Jennings scored 18 to lead Gardner-Webb to an 83-74 Atlantic Sun Conference victory over Georgia State Monday night.<br>

The Runnin' Bulldogs (9-6, 6-2 A-Sun) started the game making 16 of their first 20 field goals and finished by hitting 16 of 18 free throws down the stretch to win their third road game in a row and move back into a tie for first in the conference lead.<br>

In between, Georgia State (7-10, 4-5) ended the first half with a 9-0 run to go into intermission down 41-35, then answered a Gardner-Webb basket with eight unanswered points to tie the game at 43-43 early in the second half. But the Bulldogs led 67-61 with 3:55 to go after four straight points by Jennings.<br>

Boyd Copeland led the Panthers with 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
