Four acres burn in Gwinnett County brush fire

AUBURN - Investigators says burning leaves in windy weather caused a brush fire in Auburn Tuesday.

Gwinnett fire spokesman Tommy Rutledge says the resident on Bill Cheek Road was burning leaves and the fire got out of control around 1:00pm.

"The fire did consume several abandoned vehicles on the property," Rutledge said. "No injuries were reported."

He added a total of four acres were burned and firefighters battled the blaze for over two hours.
