Gainesville murder suspect may be in jail in NC

SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA - A man being held in jail in Sanford, North Carolina, is thought to be one of two men wanted for an eight-year-old Gainesville murder.

Juan Bayona was arrested Friday night during a traffic stop by Sanford Police.

Bayona and Arturio Elizalde are suspects in the 1997 shooting death of a 19-year-old Pendergrass man outside the Athens Street Burger King in Gainesville.
