Auto parts company to build $30 million plant in northeast Georgia

<p>A Michigan-based auto parts maker plans a $30 million plant in Hart County that would create 100 jobs in northeast Georgia by 2006.</p><p>The TI Automotive plant near Lavonia along Interstate 85 will produce plastic fuel tanks and filler pipes and will supply the BMW plant in Greer, S.C., and Hyundai's plant near Montgomery, Ala., according to company officials who announced the deal Thursday.</p><p>State officials project the plant will bring $7 million a year to the local economy.</p><p>The privately held TI Automotive employs 400 at a fuel and brake line factory in Cartersville.</p><p>___</p><p>HASH(0x2868140)</p>
