GAINESVILLE - A White County man is the new District Maintenance Shop Supervisor for the Georgia Department of Transportation's (GDOT) Gainesville-based office. <br>

Bill Carnes has worked with GDOT since 1978. <br>
<br>
Carnes supervises 16 employees and manages the motor pool, the mechanic's shop, the welding shop, the paint shop and purchasing for those areas.<br>
<br>
The Gainesville office serves 21 northeast Georgia counties.<br>
