JASPER - After a wild first day at the Area 3-AAA Duals wrestling tournament Friday, things got back to normal Saturday.
Gilmer and Grayson, both of which were ranked in the top 10 in Class AAA all season, took the top two spots at the tournament to advance to the Duals state tournament later this month.
Gilmer had to beat Gainesville in the wrestleback division to advance to the championship while Grayson whipped through the tournament undefeated to make the finals.
Flowery Branch, which knocked off host Pickens County on the opening day, lost to Grayson and then to Gilmer in the wrestlebacks to finish third.
Gainesville took fourth.
The traditional individual tournament begins in two weeks.
All of the Region 7-AAA teams plus Grayson make up Area 3.
