Lady Warriors, Rebels go down to final day in Region 7-AAA North

In the Region 7-AAA girls basketball standings, the top seeds in one subregion are already decided while the other is sure to go down to the final day.<br>

In the North, White County (13-9, 7-1) is tied with Fannin County (19-4, 7-1) for first place. The Lady Warriors finish with road games at Chestatee and Gilmer while Fannin plays host to Gilmer and then finishes against surging North Hall.<br>
<br>
The Lady Trojans (10-10, 5-3) have clinched third place while Chestatee (7-14, 3-5) is a game ahead of Pickens (9-14, 2-6) for fourth place. Pickens travels to Chestatee in the season finale for both teams Friday.<br>

Gilmer (2-19, 0-8) has clinched last place.<br>
<br>
Meanwhile, Class AAA No. 1 Gainesville has wrapped up the South subregion over No. 3 Johnson, which has wrapped up second place.<br>
<br>
The two teams will meet Friday in the regular season finale. The Lady Knights (18-5, 4-2) shocked Gainesville 56-47 in the semifinals of the Lanierland Tournament but lost the Lady Elephants (19-3, 7-0) 61-54 two weeks ago.<br>

No. 13 Flowery Branch (15-7, 2-4) is one-half game ahead of East Hall (12-10, 2-5) and they have split wins in the regular season. The Lady Vikings finish their subregion schedule Tuesday against White County while the Lady Falcons play at home against No. 3 Johnson and finish Friday at West Hall.<br>

The Lady Spartans (10-10, 1-5) could finish third with wins over both East Hall and Flowery Branch this week.
