GAINESVILLE - State health officials in Gainesville say they have flu vaccine available in all 13 counties the office serves and they are expanding the age groups eligible for the shots.
Officials said Tuesday the health departments in Health District 2 will begin vaccinating persons 50-64 years of age, out-of-home caregivers, and persons who live with or care for individuals at high-risk.
This is in addition to the high-risk groups that have been eligible since the vaccine shortage occurred a couple of months ago.
About 4,000 doses were administered at clinics in the 13 counties December 13.
