COMMERCE - A Habersham County man is dead and his wife and daughter hurting following a head-on crash in Banks County Wednesday night.
The accident happened about 6:00 on U.S. 441 near Windlake Road.
State troopers say 28-year-old Wendall Steve Dyer of Cornelia was killed in the crash. Injured were his wife, Deneen Smith Dyer and 3-year-old daughter, Maggie Katlin.
The youngster was taken to a children's hospital in Atlanta; Mrs. Dyer to the medical center in Gainesville; and the driver of the other vehicle, 18-year-old Brent Russum of Baldwin was life-flighted to Grady in Atlanta.
