GAINESVILLE - A White County woman is one of three recepients of this year's Brenau University Young Alumnae Award.
Kristy White of Cleveland graduated from Brenau's women's college in 1995 with a degree in electronic media. She is vice president of VARShop, Inc., a corporate e-business solutions provider.
White also serves as vice president of Hammond's Crossing Property Management Company and manages the Kevin Paul White Foundation. White is an adviser for Brenau's chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha; founder and president of Northeast Georgia Alumnae Panhellenic Council, vice president of Brenau Alumnae Association, chair of the 2005 Alumnae Reunion and May Day Committee and serves as a class correspondent. She has received the Brenau Volunteer Merit Volunteer Award twice for services to her alma mater.
Also receiving the award this year were Cecilie Lilletvedt of Atlanta and Alexandria Palamountain of Charlotte, N.C.
Lilletvedt graduated in 1998 with a degree in history/political science, later earning her Master of Arts degree in International Relations from Georgia State University. She currently serves as Associate Director of Corporate Relations for Hands on Atlanta, a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization. She is a member of the Metro Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council (MACVX) and a faculty member of the Citizen Academy. She is a former member of the Advisory Board for the Brenau Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega, served as a member of the UNICEF Speakers Bureau, and as a board member of the American Friends Service Committee.
Palamountain, a 1997 graduate of Brenau Women's College, earned her degree in liberal studies. She is the marketing manager for Kilpatrick Stockton LLP
