Early voting in Hall County next week, not this week

GAINESVILLE - A lot of people in Hall County apparently think early voting started in Hall County Monday - but, it didn't.

The confusion apparently grew out of news stories about the start of early voting in Florida.

County director of elections Anne Phillips says it doesn't start in Georgia until next Monday. It will continue each day, Monday-Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Phillips' office at the corner of Dawsonville Highway and Pearl Nix Parkway.

Phillips says her office was getting a lot of calls Monday about the start of early voting.
