ATLANTA - Johnny Isakson, the Republican running for the U.S. Senate in Georgia this year, is making an historic appeal to the state's Hispanic voters.
Over the weekend, Isakson began airing a 30-second TV ad in Spanish - and it's believed to be the first Spanish-language TV ad run by a Republican running for a statewide office.
The ad is running on Univision, a network aimed at Spanish-speaking audiences which is offered by cable TV outlets in the Gainesville area. There are about 1100 active, registered Hispanic voters in Hall County.
