Hall schools to be closed Election Day

GAINESVILLE - Hall County schools will be closed Election Day - as will many other public schools in Georgia.

Many public schools across the state are used as voting precincts and its not unusual for them to be closed Election Day.

In Hall County, nine schools are used as polling places: McEver, Jones, West Hall high, Flowery Branch elementary, East Hall high, Wauka Mountain, Chestatee high, Friendship elementary, and Flowery Branch high. Though all county students will have the day off it will be a teacher work/staff develoment day.

Gainesville City Schools will not be closed Tuesday.
