GAINESVILLE - The East Hall boys basketball team continues to reign over the Class AAA gabasketball.net poll.
The Vikings (13-2) have been ranked No. 1 all but one week so far this season.
But while the Vikings have been stable atop the rankings, several other local teams recently fell in the rankings.
Gainesville (12-4) which was No. 4 last week, dropped to eighth after losing to East Hall last week. Johnson (9-5) fell to 10th.
The Vikings and the Knights, both unbeaten in Region 7-AAA South play, will face each other Tuesday night in a key showdown.
Meanwhile, White County (11-3) jumped into the latest poll, released Monday, at No. 12. The Warriors have won seven straight since losing to Gainesville last month.
Hart County is ranked fifth in Class AAA.
Among other northeast Georgia teams, Apalachee is ranked 11th and Buford 12th in the latest Class AA poll. Union County dropped out of the rankings this week.
In Class A, Jefferson remained eighth in the current poll.
No northeast Georgia teams were ranked in the Class AAAA poll.
