COMMERCE - Dustin Wellborn led three players in double figures as the Lakeview Academy boys basketball team whipped Commerce 63-47 on the road Saturday night in a Region 8-A game.
Lakeview (11-5) outscored Commerce 36-26 in the second half to blow open a close game. Lakeview led just 27-21 at halftime after Commerce had trailed by as many as 10 in the first quarter.
J. B. Little scored 13 points and Trey Wood 10 for the Lions.
Caleb Jordan led Commerce with 18 points. Vic Slayton added 12 for the Tigers.
The Lions have won five straight since losing to Class A No. 2 Whitefield Academy January 3rd.
Lakeview will begin a five-game homestand Tuesday against Class A No . 8-ranked Jefferson, the first in a stretch of three Region 8-A North games.
