JASPER - Pickens County denied the Chestatee boys basketball team a chance to move into a third-place tie in the Region 7-AAA North standings.
The Dragons handed the War Eagles their sixth-straight loss in an 86-62 win.
Chestatee (2-14. 1-4) never led after the first quarter despite getting 20 points from Jesus Cantu, his third consecutive game with 20 or more points. Dusty Jarrard added 13 and Corey Black 12 for Chestatee.
The War Eagles will play host to Gilmer Friday in a battle to stay out of the bottom spot in the subregion. Chestatee beat Gilmer in its subregion opener earlier this month.
