Trojans thump struggling West Hall

OAKWOOD - North Hall boys basketball coach Bobby Pless said Friday his team was just beginning to play solid team basketball.

They put it all on display Saturday night in a resounding 82-60 thumping of struggling West Hall.

The West Hall girls made it a split with a 63-61 win over the Lady Trojans.

After beating No. 3 White County Friday night, Pless said his team was beginning to learn how to win.

"It took us a while to understand each other and what was needed to get to the next level. They're understanding that now," he said after that win.

It was the sixth straight win for North Hall while West Hall (9-11) has lost five straight and 6-of-7.

Four players scored in double figures as the Trojans (12-6) worked their inside-outside game to perfection.

Junior center Ronny Hulsey led North Hall with 15 points while guards Robby Hamilton and Josh Stephens scored 12 and 11 points. Kevin Gilstrap also scored 11 for the Trojans.

West Hall was led by Justin Brooks with 15 points.
