Vikings still No. 1 in AAA poll

GAINESVILLE - The East Hall boys basketball team again is ranked No. 1 in the latest Class AAA gabasketball.net poll.

The Vikings (18-2) have been ranked No. 1 all but one week so far this season. The have won six straight and 17 of their last 18 games overall

But while the Vikings have been stable atop the rankings, several other local teams recent fell in the rankings.

White County (15-5) fell from third to No. 7 after losing back-to-back games for the first time this year.

Gainesville (17-5) dropped from eighth to ninth while Johnson (10-9) fell to 14th.

Hart County dropped from fifth to 11th in Class AAA.

In other northeast Georgia teams, Apalachee fell to 14th from 11th and Buford dropped out of the Class AA poll for the first time in a month.

In Class A, Jefferson jumped to No. 4 after posting three wins last week.

No northeast Georgia teams were ranked in the Class AAAA poll.
