GAINESVILLE - Tasha Humphrey scored 8 of her team's first 11 points and Gainesville ran out to a quick 11-2 lead en route to a 66-36 win over East Hall in Region 7-AAA South play Tuesday night.
Humphrey, who later left the game in the third quarter with an injury, finished with 30 points in just 21 minutes.
Gainesville (18-3, 6-0) led 16-6 after the first quarter and blew the game open with a 20-9 second quarter for a 36-16 halftime lead.
East Hall (12-8, 2-4) cut the Gainesville lead to 43-29 heading into the fourth quarter but with the reserves in the game the Lady Elephants outscored the Lady Vikings 23-7 to put the game away.
