JEFFERSON - The Jefferson wrestling team will begin the quest for a fourth consecutive Class A state title Friday when the Area 2 Duals Tournament begins at Social Circle.
The Dragons have been as powerful as ever this season winning several major tournaments, inlcuding the John Smith Mountaineer in Dahlonega and the Amicalola Classic in Dawsonville.
Both tournaments featured teams from virtually every classification.
The Dragons are led by Caleb Beckwith at 103-pounds, Jose Zavaleta at 125 and J.J. Brueshaber at 145.
The top two teams in the area meet will move on to the state tournament next week.
Calvary Baptist, Commerce, Gordon Lee, Jefferson, Landmark Christian, McIntosh County, Metter, Montgomery County, Social Circle, St. Francis, Treutlen, Twiggs County and Whitfield Academy make up Area 2.
