Knights no match for depleted Vikings

OAKWOOD - Without some of its key players, the Class AAA No. 1-ranked East Hall boys basketball team found out Friday night it has others who can step in.

Walter Hill scored 23 points and Marquez Jackson added 18 as the Vikings (20-2, 7-0) routed No. 14 Johnson 97-69 on the road.

East Hall had to play with was without Brody Langston and Jerrenda Wheeler, who were out with injuries, and Shunquise Glenn and Keldrick Coleman, who were benched for academic reasons.

The Knights were never in the game. Johnson (11-11, 3-3) which has struggled lately, was led by Sam Greavu's 24 points.
