UNDATED - The observance of the second anniversary of the September 11 attacks will apparently be a low-key one in northeast Georgia.
That's in sharp contrast to last year when the first anniversary was marked with some very public events from mornng to night - from schools to public squares to churches.
Life South Community Blood Centers, however, plans to mark the occasion by teaming up with the Northeast Georgian, a Cornelia newspaper, for a special blood drive in Cornelia Thursday - which is the 11th.
Organizers say the blood drive - which will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Old Athens Highway in Cornelia - is being held in memory of 9/11.
