MONTICELLO - Attitude.
That's what Riverside Military Academy football coach Doug Dixon says is the difference this year for his team.
The Eagles rolled to another impressive win Friday night, this time 38-0 over Piedmont Academy.
Riverside (3-0) won just four games all of last season.
"The enthusisasm is unbelievable around here and the kids are believing in themselves and have a much better attitude than the last few years," Dixon said. "I just feel real good about how things are going."
He should be.
The Eagles shut out a team that came in averaging 27 points a game and was was rated third in the GISA I-AA power ratings.
"I don't don't put much stock in rankings. You have to go out and win games on the field," Dixon said.
The Eagles came in ranked seventh in the GISA I-AAA power ratings before the win.
Carl robinson scored twice and finished with 128 yards on 9 carries, including a 68-yard score to give them a 10-0 lead.
Quarterback David Elam was 6-for-10 passing with 98 yards, inclduding TD passes to Chris Seymour and Broderick Stewart.
Reggie Robinson finished the Riverside scoring with a 48-yard TD run.
the Eagles, who do not havea wek off during the season, travel to Woodbury to play Flint River Academy next week.
