LINCOLNTON - In a battle of Clas A top 10 teams, No. 1 Lincoln County held off No. 8 Commerce Friday night in a game that lived up to its billing.<br>

The Tigers (2-2) came intothe game without its starting quarterback and limping aftera 35-7 loss last week to Morgan County.<br>
<br>
Commerce will take two weeks off before traveling to Madison County.<br>
<br>
In other region 8-A action, jefferson lost to Monticello 7-0. Aquinas beat Athens Christian 29-13.
