GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA - Justin Hoyman tossed a complete-game six-hitter and struck out seven to lead Florida to a 5-1 win over Tennessee on Saturday. <br>

The Gators (21-6-1, 4-3-1 in Southeastern Conference) used a leadoff home run by Brett Dowdy and a two-run single by Brian Rose to take a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Dowdy finished 3-for-4. <br>

Boyman (5-1) allowed just two singles through five innings before Kyle Norrid gave the Volunteers (15-10, 4-4) their lone run with a solo homer in the sixth. <br>

The Gators scored in the fourth on C.J. Smith's sacrifice fly. Later in the inning, a wild pitch and an error allowed Jonathan Tucker, who had reached base on a fielder's choice, to cross the plate. <br>

Tennessee's Derek Tharpe (3-2) gave up eight hits and three walks in seven innings. He had nine strikeouts. Justin Branson went 2-for-2 for the Volunteers.
